Atlantic Limousine and Yacht Charter mission statement: John and I, Chris, have worked together on and off for the past 10 years.  It was a partnership meant to be.  We have always thought the same way and have shared the same dreams.  It was just a natural decision to start our own business together.  Early last year, before we even owned our first limousine, we knew with the cars we could make a difference in people’s lives, and started thinking how.  We talked for a short while and both know how kids LOVE!!!! limo’s and knew we would make a difference in two ways.  First, we could help take the children’s minds off the everyday regimen of treatment for some of the cruelest diseases that children endure, and second, help the families as well.  From this point we decided to start our own program called “Hugs for Rides”. It was so simple it was brilliant.  We first visited with coordinators from the Barbara Bush Children’s Unit at Maine Medical Center, and they embraced our mission 110%.  We have enjoyed so many success stories working with them that we feel that we couldn’t just limit our efforts there.  Then the decision was made to approach Camp Sunshine in Casco, Maine.  They were behind us without question after hearing our story.  In a very short time we have endless stories to tell and know we have found our calling.  We now hope to take this program to a national level with our new friends.  The benefits can’t be counted.  You only have to look onto a Child’s face or one of their parents to see the joy.  I must say that this is a great program where it’s a win-win for everyone.  The more our business grows from this program the more we give back..  The bottom line is we truly get more out of this than any one we can help.  We would also like to add that our “Hugs for Rides” program is by no means limited to the children.  Anyone is one of our children no matter what their age.  We want to celebrate or help in any way that might put a smile on someone’s face whether 2 years old or 102 years old.  We truly feel blessed that we are able to provide this priceless service to anyone in need when time permits.  I think you see how much we enjoy helping out in our small way.
